Not the easiest time to launch a new business but thankfully we’ve continued growing and have a large portfolio of satisfied clients. Controlled Access is a family-run business based in North Yorkshire. We love the local area and have enjoyed working with many people nearby.
John Jefferson, our MD (aka the Gaffer) has a long history of working in IT and is the first to get his hands dirty. As a team, we are proud to have built a business on a foundation of common sense, a fierce work ethic and (locally sourced) bacon sandwiches. When we started, our mission was to offer a high-quality end product that works for each location and client that is good value for money alongside a process that is fuss-free. According to our customer, we’ve done that and more. We’re a small but growing company but that means everyone is skilled at what they do and happy to muck in.

Who do we work with? Anyone who needs or wants a controlled access automated system is a potential customer. Most often, we work with agricultural customers, industrial set-ups, events and homes. Whether you are a farmer or someone wanting to secure your home, we have a system for you.
Which Areas Do We Cover?
Based in rural Northallerton, North Yorkshire we provide controlled access systems to homes and businesses located an hour, give or take, from our base. No plans to take over the rest of England or venture up into Scotland? Not likely. We keep it local for four main reasons:
No accommodation costs or hefty fuel bills are added to the bill
To minimise the number of days on-site, reducing any disruption for our clients
Keeping it local-ish means we can work with trusted and experienced local contractors
We’re a family business and everyone wants to get home for tea whenever possible. That’s a lot easier if we are an hour away rather than three.
That’s us in a nutshell. Local, hard-working and very unlikely to turn down a decent cup of tea. While we are down to earth we take pride in our work and are specialists in controlled access automation.
